Part commentary, part historical reference and part travel blog for the Urban Wanderer, Gordon’s Urban Morphology, written and edited by Greg Gordon Canaras, aims to view The City (and in particular New York’s Manhattan) through a lens of change. Whether it be through a building, urban space, or an entire city block, The City always has a story to tell by the way it’s constructed. These constructs are the fundamental building blocks of “Urban Morphology” defined as the study of human settlements and the process of their transformation. This interest in transformation, both positive and negative, is the catalyst for this blog. We aim to give the reader a broader view of the forces which historically impact, and continue to impact The Form of The City.

The reader can expect One to Two posts added per week, addressing topics which are visually and verbally relevant in our City of Change.
